VineRoots
VineRoots is The Vine Project’s pilot program
for teens and young adults (16–24) who are navigating housing instability, system involvement, or major life transitions.
We provide consistent relational support, practical life-skill building, and targeted help to remove barriers so participants can move forward in education, employment, and community connection.
Who We Serve
VineRoots is designed for young people who need steady support as they build independence—especially those aging out of foster care or coming from unstable environments.
It’s for youth and young adults who want help with school, work, and everyday “adulting” skills, and who may be facing barriers like transportation, missing documents, or limited support systems.
Rooted in relationship and community connection,
VineRoots helps create clear next steps and real pathways forward.
What We Do
1) Workshops (Life Skills + Readiness)
Short, practical sessions that teach real-world skills like budgeting, job readiness,
navigating resources, communication, and planning next steps.
2) Launch Support (Ongoing Navigation + Coaching)
One-on-one support to help participants apply what they’re learning, problem-solve barriers, and connect to community partners for education, employment, and stability.
3) Seed Grants (Stabilization Support)
Small, targeted financial support to address immediate needs that could prevent progress—such as transportation, documents/IDs, work gear, or short-term crises.
What Success Looks Like
Our goal is for participants to leave VineRoots with stronger practical life skills and growing confidence, connected to supportive relationships and clear next steps.
We want to see increased stability, better access to the right resources, and steady progress toward education and/or employment.
Rooted in shared values, community connection, and real pathways forward.
