TBRI®

Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®) is an attachment-based, trauma-informed approach designed to meet the complex needs of children and families from “hard places.”

TBRI in Action

TBRI is the foundation for how we show up in VineRoots.

It shapes the way we lead workshops, provide launch support, and offer seed grants—  so our work stays relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in connection.

Our goal is consistent: increase felt safety, strengthen relationships, and create pathways forward through shared values and community connection.

TBRI Training Coming This Spring

Beginning this spring, the Vine Project will offer TBRI training for caregivers, school districts, churches, and community organizations.

These trainings will share practical, relationship-based tools that support children through trust-building connection, predictable routines, and effective responses to challenging behaviors.

Our hope is to strengthen the adults who show up every day—parents, teachers, staff,

and community leaders—so they feel confident, supported, and ready to create spaces where children and families can thrive.

What Success Looks Like

Success looks like TBRI showing up in everything we do—how we welcome people,

build trust, and respond in hard moments with connection that creates pathways forward.

It looks like Vine Project work being lived out through our workshops, launch support, and seed grants, rooted in shared values and community connection.

And it looks like our community partners, schools, churches, and local organizations showing up in the same way—extending relational support to the children, youth,

and young adults in our programs, and to families across the community.
